A few years ago, Joel Spolsky created a test to measure how good software development team. Many engineers or companies use this test to evaluate quality of software development team or company to work for. Some companies also use this test to assess their own software development quality and determine to-be-improved area.
How about measuring non-technical aspect such as their culture?
Martin Buberl wrote a simple test called culture test to determine the state of company’s culture and define to-be-improved area.
Then why do we need to measure company’s culture state? At present, technology is seen as easy part. We can learn technology anywhere and anytime. But, startup isn’t merely about technology, it’s also about people, values and quality. Obviously we want to work with company that has a good culture and same vision with us.
